Safeguarding

Our safeguarding approach.

Keeping children safe is the foundation of everything we do - a trauma-informed, relational and proactive approach that shapes every decision, relationship and routine in our homes.

Safeguarding

Keeping children safe is the foundation of everything we do.

Safeguarding is not a policy that sits on a shelf - it is the lens through which every decision, relationship and routine in our homes is shaped. We believe every child has the right to feel safe, to be listened to, and to have their voice taken seriously.

Our approach is trauma-informed, relational and proactive. Staff receive ongoing training in child protection, online safety, contextual safeguarding, CSE/CCE awareness and trauma-responsive practice - and we work in close partnership with local authorities, health services, schools and the police to keep young people protected.

Raising a Concern

Children, families, staff and professionals can raise concerns directly with any member of our team, the Registered Manager, or the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Concerns are recorded, acted on the same day, and shared with the relevant local authority where appropriate.

Whistleblowing

Every member of our team has a duty - and the protection - to speak up if something feels wrong. Our whistleblowing policy guarantees confidentiality, freedom from reprisal, and a clear route to escalate concerns externally to Ofsted or the LADO if needed.

DSL Contacts

Each home has a named Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy DSL. They are the first point of contact for any safeguarding concern and are available to children, staff and partners around the clock.

Complaints

We welcome feedback and complaints as a vital part of staying accountable. Young people are supported to make complaints in a way that suits them, and every complaint is acknowledged, investigated and responded to within clear, published timeframes.
